Drowning in this ocean of endless pain Trying to find my soul, so my heart can regain The joy and grace it once had So I can see that life isn/'/t so bad Drowning in my restless thoughts, Tossing and turning isn/'/t for what I/'/ve fought My mind is being tortured at every thought of you I/'/d love to see a grand sunset, that/'/d be quite a view Drowning in the sensation of never again feeling your touch Of never again being able to have your love Trying and failing to get back on my feet Let me tell you a story; grab a chair, take a seat Drowning because I had nothing in mind Drowning because I had nothing in sight Drowning isn/'/t the way to go Drowning isn/'/t the way to flow Drowning is instant death to the brain Drowning is gonna smear the stain Drowning will leave an instant mark Drowning is like that killer shark, Lurking and circling for its prey Until it hits it/'/s target it/'/s here to stay

Interesting it is that you use water as a basis for the poem. Even sharks...a fish.
Which remind me, there are other fish in the sea.
I felt as you do now (or did, I don/'/t know), and I can tell you that time is an incredible eraser. I thought I would melt into the earth in misery....I have trouble recalling her face now.
Keep it in mind....it wasn/'/t meant to be, but our of 3.5 plus females, I suspect she isn/'/t the ONLY one that will tickle your ivory.
