as memories tangle
in curtains
with a sob
against
pane/pain
hues of blue
as the dry
bite of January
morn/mourn
drifts as wood
smoke
pigment pale
in the dead
of winter
word sent.

This is so lovely, Ming. You have rippled my skin and set my hair to dance throughout. The capture is absolutely, hauntingly, brilliantly chosen to create a sparse display of a nuance I spend time in year round. I am proud to read you.
