Take my hand please palms sopping and limp in a post monsoon breeze palms squelching with sweat in the swelter of a mid-afternoon sun sweater clung to skin clam on clam on an unperturbed seabed past the storm that cracks shards in the sky raining into the overripe, swollen sea eddying sprays of perfume pungent and provocative That doesn/'/t matter anymore Please do take my hand heat from friction will keep us alive past furious volcanoes livid with their unresolved angst spewing at the mouths angry spittle of searing rod hot rage incoherent, beyond reason Please oh please would you lock fingers with me We/'/d bubble down glug glug glug past the treacherous world that breathes 20/'/000 leagues beneath the roiled surface in the tenacious embrace of an impenetrable vessel down into the nether, never wandered regions so pristine where no creature human, rock or beast could ever cause us grief Storms or swells sharks or shells I/'/ll discern for you I/'/ll be good to you I/'/ll be sweet I won/'/t cry, scream, flail, cuss I/'/ll love you forever it will be fossilized for an eternity.

The line, "would you lock fingers with me"
is so uniquely beautiful. To ask such a question,
with no understanding of language, for the first time,
entering into the world with loud voice.
including all the animals in the history of
Peace!
