Long Night of The Life Monster

Contributed by Invierno on Saturday, 4th March 2017 @ 11:14:30 PM in AEST
Topic: ambiguous

Sleep well, little dear.
No monsters come from under the bed,
no, not in the closet either;
instead, close your eyes,
they cant climb inside or be there.

What do you mean,
they cant climb inside?
So there ARE monsters to take me away?
My life I wanted so much,
are you saying it wont come to pass?

Lass, lass, light a candle,
long is the night ,
a ticking clock will longer tick fright,
no use to pray,
monsters dont fear the same things
but, do run from the day.

You have a long day of work tomorrow,
be well.

Lovely just lovely

You took me back to my childhood boet, in fact some monsters are still feared today. The ones as a kid was just in my head shadows at the window of a branch gently tapping on the pane the wind rustling the leaves or my dog that sneaked in without being seen and just panting under my bed. The monsters of now are very real of the human nature. The ones that live by the sword and want to harm us or drive us to harm them. I don/'/t know what is more terrifying, getting harmed or being driven into a corner of life and death and harming just in order to survive boet. Excellent write brother Mike. God bless

Greetings
Gert

What fun!! This has the same effect as the movie JAWS--makes us afraid to go near the bed! Nursery rhymes can be scary.. The wolf eating grandma; The troll in the ditch; The witch trying to cook the children; Then we say Goodnight, sleep tight. Yeah, right mom. And let/'/s not forget IF I DIE BEFORE I WAKE.There/'/s a soothing thought.. My favorite line is A TICKING CLOCK WILL LONGER TICK FRIGHT, AND NO USE TO PRAY. Thank you on behalf of insomniacs everywhere. softerware
