Fight or Flight

Contributed by MoonlitAngel on Wednesday, 15th March 2017 @ 05:04:08 PM in AEST
Topic: Event

Scared to say goodbye
Stayed far too long
Didn`t think you`d let me go without a fight
All that I endured
Finally had enough
No more living in the shadows thrown by gaslight

All those years misused
Come to an end
Thought for sure I`d see the worst of you this time
Tell you I`m leaving
Holding my breath
Time stops
Muscles tense
Flight or flight
........

Sad to say goodbye
Your eyes cast down
Didn`t even get up out of your chair
Picture empty rooms
Tell me you`ll miss me
No more living in the comfort of a nightmare

All those years abused
Came to an end
Thought for sure you`d do your best to keep me there
This time I`m leaving
Counting my steps
This stops
Here and now
Flight or flight?

Sorry to hear you had to deal with that
hopefully you are free now
to live life as you please
and
without fear....

Flight or flight?

Abuse ain/'/t worth fighting for, so flight...final answer.

my friend
always a difficult trial to find yourself in
heartbreaking to find you here
blessings to you
may you find the strength to stand tall
may you find the strength to do what/'/s right for you
may you find the strength to get your smile back
love and hugs to you
Kara
