A journey dripping with desire,
emotions telling stories of past inadequacies,
still linger like scars we hide.
Some battles did not deserve to be waged.
The now is being told with old analogies,
we thought the scars were hidden.
Exposed thoughts turned inward,
reveals hearts that still bleed
made to feel sights that have a longing tear.
It is the moments in between,
the space between when our lips meet
and the flush of emotions that arises
from such grand endeavors.
While I stand in the moment,
are the times you run past me.
Each moment stands on its own.
Glorified, yet each confessed,
begins their own journeys
of self discovery,
affirmations of themselves,
leading to inadequacies I share in your bed.
Conflict has always led us
to physical desires.
