what if it gets hectic
double time epileptic
seize to a beat
chewed off your feet
quick simplify gone septic
what if it gets worse
like some abandoned curse
some disaffected
random wreck
head-on collision with a hearse

when upon a blue day
we might sacrifice some of
the precious light
to worry what if what
and they say if we are true
and they say if we are blue
we will see this world and
all that is hollow
and make someone who needs
just a little help smile
only knowing it is ourselves
who needs a little hope
and light within our heart
to change this world
