Water

Contributed by unknown_utopia on Thursday, 27th April 2017 @ 12:13:34 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Dazed and dehydrated I am
here
in the confusion,
just existing and thinking
about whats happening...

I dont text no more
got a killer answering machine
with a cell screen so big
its like watching tv,
I dont like trump
but
he is the president
so I will give him a chance
to make Russia great again(ha ha)
democrats fall
off the america great wall
fox news and msnbc continue to talk
even though no one listens anymore,
Governments crumble as corporations rise
my underground bunkers ready for world war four.

Why is the government putting fluoride in the water?
They keep the poor around
to scare the middle class
religions orbit is in retrograde
the new tower of babel takes hold as humanity fades
why continue using sonar that leaves ocean creatures in disorder?
cigarettes become vapor
health cares in disarray
everything changes
nothing stays the same.

Electronic automation is in motion
slowly but surely
we will be assimilated and replaced by machines,
no more free human manifesto
there will not be any money
someones always talking
never saying what they mean,
the emotionally hydrated will be the first to die
so I gotta keep searching for some clean water.

I like this very much Unknown_Utopia
while when on a Thursday I was thinking
about just the same damn thing

when there is all this fun poor folks could have
if they only knew how to change just a few
things that never do seem to ever change

same for the rich in a way but they likely are a
more desperate dispiriting and much smaller
group

And they will pat a dehydrated poor sod on the back
and say here, have take this coke, or pepsi

war is war, you use a new killing tool and pretty soon
your enemy will have it too

the infinitesimal of any war stuck in the middle
if they survive at all; what they get back if they are lucky is only part of what they once had

sometimes information technology seems like there is so much more out there to learn about but somehow you are slurping it up from an even thinner straw

these things we know are self evident surely do seem to be eroding all around

I might be less intelligent but I am not yet numb
to what is going on around and around and around

stay gold Utopia

Peace!

My favorite line in this is "The emotionally hydrated will be the first to die"
Because first of all, ain/'/t that the truth, and second, the choice of words to express it is so well condensed without losing anything :)

This is a poem that needs to be seen. I/'/m so glad/sad I read it. I will strive to say this in my own abstract way. Which means you inspire! Too many killer lines for me to pick out my favs.

The writings of a fertile mind. The musing of a thinker. The conclusions of a distanced observer mourning the passing of camelot.
So much do you give us to think about, your write is a four course meal.
For those who pen appetizers, this is satiating.
Well written and ripe with seedlings of thought, left to bloom gardens in the minds of the reader. Yes, you have left us emotionally hydrated!
