I seek the next plain. Oh!, invisible ledge I to leap,
away, from stain to stain as ledge to ledge,
edge ever more refined, lighter with each climb.
This time and each break a piece; off
to the tailings!, growing, piling failures;
Lo! Teacher Time has with itself lighted ballast in my mind,
as tailings dark demyst to opalesque lessons, refined
all the lighter now for my next leap.

I completely agree with you. If we look back, the hardest battles have turned to translucent ghosts that no longer have any hold over us. We have conquered.
The last four lines say so much about what many of us feel but cannot put into words as you do so well.
You have reminded us to rise above, and not dwell.
Written as seen through eyes that have crossed many bridges.
