Emotions bled on paper;
The writer pans for worth;
Extracting thoughts from vapor;
Belaboring their birth.
Knee deep in the undertow;
Sifting truth from lies;
Following the echo;
A leaf upon the tide.
Emerging bloody on the shore
Few precious words in hand;
The writer whores to pen a score;
That few will understand.

I gotta agree with Tim. I/'/ve noticed a /'/tread into deeper waters/'/, if you will, in your content these last six months or so. Please don/'/t construe anything negative relevant to past poems; I meant every word in that pm.
With your god-given ability, and a dip into the painful end of the pond, I get goosebumps thinking about reading you after /'/Emerging bloody on the shore Few precious words in hand/'/. I have enough blood dripping to understand.
