Today is a peaceful day
remembrance of our fallen takes place
We bow our heads in prayer
as we think of the fallen in silence and with Gods grace
We honor them
heroes they are to us all
They served our country with pride
until it was their final call
Every branch of service
has lost good women and men that served
Now its our time to remember them all
giving them honor is something well deserved
So take a moment and be silent
especially on this given day
The fallen know we honor them
in some special way
There will be many tears
when remembering the ones we love
So comfort those in mourning
and say prayers to the Lord above
God Bless America
God Bless the freedoms we still endure
Just know with our silence on this day
our remembrance of the fallen is honorable and pure

| Beautiful words, as a retired soldier with three combat tours, I say thank you sir. May God bless the fallen, may we all remember that freedom isn/'/t free. |
