The Audience Awaits

Contributed by northernlights on Sunday, 28th May 2017 @ 09:08:33 PM in AEST
Topic: NaturePoetry

Comfort

dances and burbles

streaming in torrents and tapping its

Watery finger tips on window pane, and I am unnaturally awake!

Thoughts ebb and flow with insomniac edge, for now a heady

Awakening, a smile with Nature, a warm sense of snug and

Smug.

Duvet nestled in stormy song, absorbing the dance, hidden

From the eye, a theatrical denial of a curtain raised.

For the audience in its sumptuous recline wishes only

To be soothed in a cacophony of sounds.

Zeus bellows his presence in echoing rumbles of

announcing dominion, the stage explodes into

Light then all returns to shadows.

Calm returns before an encore drawing the

Audience closer, poised in anticipation, unsettled!

One last announcement, calm descends

No curtain call,

No final moment!

The audience awaits.

Just read this after a busy day at work and now I feel overwhelmed by a sense of calm.
Nature has so many ways of enchanting us.
Amazing write and thanks for sharing your thoughts

Steve
