My dreams were the safest place i knew
Until i was haunted by visions of you
Our first date, the first time we kissed
First time we held hands, the period i missed
The times we laughed and cried together
Our hearts that were once tethered
The love we shared, the love we gave
The relationship that we tried to save
Walks in the park, rides in the car
The looks we gave each other from afar
Walking your dogs down the street
My heart that once skipped a beat
I wont ever lose the love i have for you
I know it was real, and i know it was true
I cried more times than i care to admit
It wont keep me down, i wont quit
I know you love me still, by the way you look in my eye
Or maybe by the way you smile as you pass me by
I know the love is there by the way you hold my hand
So..if not in this world, love me in another land
