May I have your attention, class is now in session,
Professor Kane will now recite some of the most infamous names,
Take notes, a quiz will follow, if you fail there is no tomorrow,
Some names you may not know, do your homework and their stories unfold,

A Killer clown like John Wayne Gacy, a permanent scowl some find me crazy,
Good looking like Ted Bundy, a deadly charm that women find inviting,
Like Gary Ridgeway, take a trip down the Green river, aka the I-5 killer,
With surgical precision Jack made the incision, an Angel of death Donald Harvey, a killer Physician,
Like Jeffery Dahmer I enjoy a good fest, call me Luis Garavito...aka The Beast,
Lumberjack like Lizzy Bordin, a freeway killer like William Bonin,
Cryograms from the Zodiac, reveal the masters plan, David Berkowitz.... The Son of Sam,
A man of faith like BTK, Dennis Rader wearing a custom suit made by Ed Gein,
Alexander Pichushkin yelling checkmate, as Jane Toppan receives a clean slate,
Kenneth Bianchi takes to the hills, like Richard Ramirez, at night I find my thrills,
One last ride on the Metro line, Angel Resendiz by my side,
Sunday morning slashing with Carl Eugene Watts, Robert Steven Kraft keepin score with killer shots,
Like his victims, " The Candyman," died young, Dean Corll was killed by his accomplice holding a gun,
Elizabeth Bathory of royal name, bathing in virgin blood was her claim to fame,
Enjoying some pie baked by Nannie Doss, 11 family members the final cost,
Patrick Kearney taking out the trash, necrophilia and mutilation left in his path,

Within everyone lies a killer, but the choices we make become the path we take,
An evil buried deep within our DNA, some release it, others are afraid,
To know thy enemy you must first know thy self, as for these 24... there is no help,
The root of all evil is easy to find, look in the mirror and you will see...25

I may never look in a mirror again, thank you!
This took some heavy research and choreography to rhyme. It is unsettling to realize how many killers have ravaged us. But your. suggestion that evil is in our DNA sends chills down the most stalwart of spines.
Perhaps it is because we suspect ourselves capable of such acts, given some horrific circumstances to give us permission...What a thought to go to sleep with.
Well done!

Brilliant piece. This definitely took a great deal of
research and to compile all that information that way
you did take true skill. I have to agree with
Softerware that I may not look at the reflection i see
in the mirror the same way. And to say that it rests
within our DNA and that we are just one choice away
from becoming one of the aforementioned is a scary
thought although your statement is true.
Once again brilliantly written.
