Mirror

Topic: selfstruggles

You speak as if I can not hear, when my name is uttered you tremble in fear,
You close your eyes in hopes you cant see, as if I would go away cause you said please,
You cover your ears to silents the screams... afraid to sleep for I live within your dreams,
You run but can never hide, every step you take...Im one behind,
You seek redemption, relive your crimes, praying for forgiveness time after time,

Psychotic to a fault, a split personality... we enjoy our talks,
Like a house of mirrors Im all around... just staring at you but never make a sound,
Forever I watch each and every move, face to face your mind consumed,
The demons eyes fixed on you, you belong to me... I though you knew,
Like a dog chained to a tree, your every move is decided by me,

You seek answers where there is none to find, sorrow and pain drive you insane,
You want to leave but you cant, the laughter starts and you panic,
Your screams echo the pain as the knife severs another vein,
The child cries as the belly is ripped wide,
A hand covered in blood reaches for the son,

This house of horrors is now your tomb as the spawn feeds upon the womb,
The pain so intense, the ritual of blood has now commenced,
The afterbirth of rage and hate, a mother and child...separate,
You fall to you knees, look upon me to end the misery,
The eyes hollow and cold, in you hand the answer you hold,

Your breathing becomes erratic like withdraws of a heroin addict,
You break out in a dry sweat, the mind unable to focus,
You take aim and I just smile, you pull the trigger as you call me a liar,
Your true self finally exposed, energy released as the gun unloads,
With a single shot you ended that killer, alas... Im only the mirror.

Heart & Soul
Kane

Powerful and raw. Hard to read in its realism.
You give the reader no quarter to escape the pierce of your condemnation.
I find myself relieved that I have no way to relate to your story. I/'/m glad I read it, and I/'/m glad it ends without harm. And I/'/m glad its over.
You have made an impression.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
