Stop to ask me how I feel; The answer is: Im NUMB. On an endless even keel; No swings, no hits, no runs.
No emotion in my thoughts, Not angst, or satisfaction; Like a clock whose hands are caught, Still ticking without traction.
Im never missed; Im never late; I just sit at the station; While friends await, I contemplate; Unopened invitations.
A doorway out of endlessness; Somewhere somehow awaits; Promising to bring me less Benign and flaccid fates.
Ill not be free though I may see; It yawning open wide; While none but I can carry me; Across the other side.

Pregnant with meaning and interpretation.
Sounds like a battle with SSRI/'/s, but of course this is not the case.
This new vein you/'/ve mined within your psyche is a painful one, but to us, the recipients of your mining, the result is pure golden nuggets of poetry.

A gem of a write and one I/'/m sure many people going through the same thing will identify.
It/'/s easy for people around those with depression to say "Snap out of it" but that just comes from a lack of understanding.
It must feel like being shut in a dark room trying to find the door.
