Computers are lifes imitators;
Converting our knowledge to data
Intelligent thought is then stored til its bought;
Flatlined as alpha and beta.
A diet of facts thats designed,
As junkfood for hungry young minds;
Most obsolete before we can eat;
Were compelled to obsessively dine!
Weve no inclination to check its creation
Consuming whatever we find;
Info at best, thats swift to digest;
And doled out a bit at a time.
How long can we thrive upon food;
Thats already carefully chewed.
Eaten in haste with no time to waste;
Or judge what they put in the stew!

Let me waste time reading rhyme;
Paid for with coins of lost time;
A garden of thoughts, fresh-picked and just caught,
Unanswered, unseasoned,
sublime!

How the modern world has changed. Remember when computers took forever to download a single webpage and the cacophony of a modem connecting to the Internet could be heard everywhere.
Now facts bombard us every second of every day, blink and you may miss them!!
