The Great Debate Part One

Contributed by The_Phantom on Thursday, 6th July 2017 @ 04:12:43 PM in AEST
Topic: StoryPoetry

" Kick in the door, sparks from the .44 "
Violence is not the answer it only spreads the cancer,
What the world needs is peace not a contagious disease,
" Open your eyes our society is built on lies,
Our government is corrupted and you act like thats nothing? "

We can change our countrys course without the use of force,
" Your as dumb as you are blind, your ignorance isnt the only crime,
Drop a thousand men on Capital Hill, let the fire-fight start and the blood spill,"
Murder only adds to the sickness, we the people have the power to fix this,
We must come together and never surrender,

" Never surrender? Thats what this is about, didnt you fight for peace... howd that turn out?"
I did my part, but without hate in my heart,
I served my country with honor, it was my duty to fight for others,
" Spoken like a true politician, a walking contradiction,
Violence gives birth to peace, all is quite when your enemy lay at your feet,"

We dont need more bloodshed, we need to love one another like the word says,
" You speak of religion, that was mankinds worst decision,
Pedophiles of the cross preaching to their flock, Id rather remain lost,"
I feel my words have fallen on deaf ear, I hope my next statement is perfectly clear,
Violence like radiation... destroys not only us but future generations.
