Peace

Topic: LostLove

What was no longer exist, his lovers embrace he couldnt resist,
Within her eyes, peace he would find, within her eyes he didnt have to hide,
Her touch alone warmed his soul, her touch said hed never be alone,
Their love, written in the stars, their demise would leave him permanently scarred,

Tears run dry as he accepts goodbye,
Reliving the night of a slamming door, silent words chase the woman he adored,
Mouth wide open but yet no sound, sorrow builds as his heart drowns,
She walked away without a second look, she felt no remorse for the life she took,

A final kiss with arsenic laced lips,
Tinder words from a venomous tongue had him believing she was the one,
The love in her eyes, the smile she had as she planned his demise,
She ripped out his heart, destroyed his soul, leaving a broken man cold and alone,

He seeks no revenge, it hurts too much, serving life within the prison of a womans touch,
Unable to move forward, trapped in the past, incapable of letting go a love that didnt last
A man torn to shreds with a heartbreaking story, nether here nor there, stuck in purgatory,
He contemplates suicide, maybe then the pain will subside,

A shattered soul he blames on her, his final moments become a blur,
Invisibly shaking, he keeps a straight face while his heart was breaking,
Split his wrists to ease the pain, with his final breath he screamed her name,
Every drop of blood released, her memory brings him closer to peace.

Forever Faithful
The Phantom

this is beautiful. tragic and painful, but beautiful. I love how it starts out as a love story and gets darker and darker till you hit the end and then it circles back around to the same sense of love and peace as at the beginning. thoroughly enjoyable read.
