A Hitchiking Montage

You said not to write songs about you anymore
You said you can always tell so dont even try
and more than that I should move on and be strong
but how can I do that, when everything is all wrong?
and all I really want to do is cry

You fix me up, when Im broken down
I fall in love with this ghost town
and ever since youve been around
thats all I need.
You build me up, when Im knocked down
I fall in love with this ghost town
cause it comes alive
with you by my side
driving through the night
hand in hand
no end in sight
no end in sight

You said not to leave you voicemails anymore
You said theyre clogging your phone up, you dont want to talk
and more than that I should find someone else
to patch up the holes that I dug for myself
and for the last time, goodbye is goodbye

but...

You fix me up, when Im broken down
I fall in love with this ghost town
and ever since youve been around
thats all I need.
You build me up, when Im knocked down
I fall in love with this ghost town
cause it comes alive
with you by my side
driving through the night
hand in hand
no end in sight
no end in sight

and with a twist
I didnt see coming
Im on the very same road
walking, arm out, thumbing
all alone

Im reading this thinking there should be a "heartbreak country lovesong tune" to go with it.
I can almost hear it in my head, the words echoing in my mind.
Nice write

Steve
