I only write the skin.
Readers best describe;
Who we are inside;
Their words appeal to what I feel;

my genuine soft exploration
All my time spent thinking
Doing my head in
wondering about being a kid
wondering about being a parent
thinking about holding down an
honest job
they say love don/'/t mean nothing
if there ain/'/t nothing worth fighting
for
"It/'/s a beautiful war"
I stole that from a Kings of Leon song
but that/'/s not a lie
there is I think, a lot left to do
I think poetry should say
that too
with the last breath I hope
each of us do
