Different
In the past we where persecuted
For being not like the norm
Ridiculed and belittled
Bullied and abused
We are different, we are proud
We are geeky, we are loud
We are mixed from the human gene pool
Now you think we are cool
We lead the way in with creativity
We are artists who brighten and enlighten your world
We are musicians who make you dance
We are different and here to stay
We are many, we are strong
We make your day be a better one
So why did it take you so long for you to love us?

oh man, so many thoughts here that are
commanding and true.
Music is geeky man, beautifully so.
Green energy, from the sun and wind,
and efficiency with less waste, and music
and art.

I love this! You are correct on all counts listing the gifts that geeks bring to us. Geek or not, be your genuine self. -- who else can you possibly be??
As to your question: why did it take so long to love you? Because we ignore the obvious in search of the obscure. We put men on the moon long before we thought to put wheels on luggage.

| Nice expression of a minority viewpoint. Unfortunately, the majority almost always overwhelms the minority. Thus in the majority of the population... the fear of new ideas overwhelms the love of new ideas... at least until the idea is no longer quite as new. |
