I so admire tenacity The guts, the strength, the heart! The do or die capacity That sets these guys apart
The handymen and plumbers; That fix the stuff that breaks: That stick with it and never quit No matter what it takes!
Which side you take is up to you; Depends on your defining; Who gets paid for black and blue; And who goes broke reclining!

i agree whole-heartedly...Ive learned how to do so many things around my house as well as cars because otherwise they would continue to be put off and never get taken care of. Or just the fact that I hardly ever have the money to hire someone to fix it. And if in the process of us trying to fix it ourselves it becomes more broken than it was to start off with then we have made the job more worthwhile for the handyman or plumber, lol. Another great piece my friend.

so very true - they seldom get enough credit.
they get good, like they know they should,
because maybe they have been there, experienced
that. Those hardworking souls, the gents, and females too.
just look around, shovel to dirt, the floor, the sink,
the air conditioner on a hot hot summer day,
fix my car right - and I am in a rush... they do put up with kind of ungratefulness from time to time, even when they might not have ta...
the recliner is a pain in the ass, if ya turn it upside down
when it becomes stuck, there seems to be all this twisted strips of metal that make zero sense.
who am I, A Einstein - not!!!
Your poem says a lot - and is perfect when thinking about Labor Day!
Peace! |
