No one loves success I guess...

Contributed by softerware on Friday, 15th September 2017 @ 08:34:28 PM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

Be the promise, not the wish;
The lifelong romance; not the kiss.

Be the flower, not the seed;
Be the doer, not the deed.

Be the music, not the dancer;
Be the question, not the answer!

Be the gate; and not the fence.
Trust your heart or trust your sense?

Be the window, not the wall
Try just once to do them all?

Should you succeed, well all admire;
That you achieved your fond desire!

But should you fail alas, and fall;
Come sit by me, and do tell all!

I love others successes because it is known to be contagious... The world needs a good virus. This was very cute and ingenious indeed!!!

success is an apron you wear
so that the mess doesn/'/t get on
your clothes

or its some mind you mended
because you listened to it
when nobody would

or possibly its a fashion that
went out of fashion
then came back
and when it did
you were wearing something
completely different
and completely out of fashion
Yet, once again

success takes up all your loot
you loot was everything
you found yourself on the
wrong side of a losing war
and it went, just where it went
you cannot say,
but it did, but your still
here

success is mediocrity,
the feeling of being,
that/'/s just not such a bad
thing at all - John Updike
or someone who was around
intellectuals might try
to posit, so the rest of us
know.

That/'/s what/'/s ever under the Sun
is more than just under the sun,
at least once for a short spate
of time, the successful person
captures bits and pieces
here and there

you/'/re right softerware, I/'/m just
going off on another lovely poem that
you have bequeathed

success must be a struggle
if it is ever to be so achieved.

Peace!

success is why do I bother
wearing sandals on the uneven
ground laid in thorn...
success is the today
with each step that I shall
seek comfort and recognize
what tomorrow might bring
success is learning how
to love all the people
who have come my way
through no planning
on my own part,
they just are,
success is a yearning
for the comfort for
the others , the objects
of any of my successes
the words for beauty
in any life with no way
to fully describe nor anticipate
what will come, yet still
having some wisdom
that shelters any fate

there is a US patent
I think it was in 1999
A patent was granted
to some person who
designed a peanut
butter and jelly sandwich
with no bread crust -
and oh, what lucid mind
would ever construct
such a concoction
deserves all the success
such a thing deserves
And I say that even though
I like the crust the most

Peace!

But for the last two stanzas, this should be printed on a poster and placed in every grade school room in the world.
