Everybody Loves The Way She Moves

Contributed by jamesstockdale on Sunday, 24th September 2017 @ 10:04:00 AM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

Everybody loves the way she moves
So effortlessly she glides upon the ice
She looks like an angel
A finely sculpted tanned body all draped in white
She sort of reminds me of everything that is right
We all tear up watching her as she passes by
Everyone dreams she is the girl next door
They used to know
Beauty and perfection before your eyes
Don/'/t ya know
She carves up the ice
So heavenly precise
The crowd is so moved
In their eyes you can see
Their dreams realized
They all admire the beautiful girl
Who spins so freely upon the ice
In appreciation they throw her roses
Way into the night
Ending only as the show closes

I felt as if I were sitting in the audience watching her spin! All the grueling hours of practice are finally paying off! Perfection is an acquired quality.
The audience only sees the result; the skater knows the effort, persistence, and dedication it took to get there. She deserves applause! And this poem thrills us with her artistry!
Thank you,
Jaye
