Apocalyptic Sun
The dark sky descended with a purple hue over the city It was only 10am but looked like it was evening Misty clouds occasionally cover the object in the sky A perfect sphere of orange never seen before on our shores
Have I awoken in a new world? Am I on a new planet? A mirror to my home planet earth They say there was fire over Spain and Portugal The smoke and ash clouds drifted to my city and made the sun blood orange
Storm Ophelia is coming later For this apocalyptic sun is the warning beacon Later things returned to there natural state But tonight the storm will be upon us Things began to rattle under mighty gusts later that day We are ready

I remember waking up to a dark sky and orange sun and thinking exactly the same thing, the apocalypse has arrived and this is the end.
Then I thought........if it is, i/'/m so glad I had the day off work!!
Nature has many surprises for us, even now!!
