put your feet up, big guy,
crack another beer
enjoy the smiles and laughter,
the same again next year.
chocolate has its Easter,
lovers have their say
champagne marks the New Year,
but we all know your day.
overdone light displays,
cheer too much too bear
sometimes hide the message,
goodwill is free to share.
so muck out the stables,
give oats to all the deer
gift the elves their bonus,
til same again, next year.
