There is a Japanese proverb that supports your premise: When two men argue, the first one to strike a blow has run out of intelligent ideas!
Were it not for the time we spent considering options, we would have taken that swing, and blown the planet off it/'/s axis long before now.
Your cautionary message is timely. Let us not lose the ability to remain calm in the storm.
