My Fellow Philosophers

Contributed by nightwolf on Monday, 8th January 2018 @ 07:25:01 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

Thoughts flow like rivers
out of the mind
rushing down the arm
and falling over the tip
of a quill;
everyday ideas,
written in new
and beautiful ways
providing a different perspective,
changing hearts
and minds;
giving new insight
into the emotional
and spiritual realms,
forever leaving their impression
on those who decided
to listen.

Such is the work of a philosopher.

Planting ideas
that make us
stop,
listen,
think,
and feel
in ways
we never have before;
raising questions
of love,
logic,
morality,
faith,
and unity
with powerful words
that impact the soul;
bringing a surge
of emotion
out of the most hardened
of hearts,
if they
are but willing
to listen.

Such is philosophy.

Such is poetry.

And so,
my fellow philosophers,
keep writing.

Never stop
pushing the boundaries
of thought and emotion.
Never stop
making us feel
in new
and powerful ways.
Keep your quill moving
always.

Let your philosophy grow
in the hearts
and minds of those
who will listen.

A fitting tribute to poets and philosophers. Let us not limit our hearts to the size of a digital screen.
Your words are kind and genuine as you protest.
Words and thoughts build bridges to cross. May you live long and write us many new destinations!
Can we all join hands in that wish?
