Had it coming

Contributed by PreciousKitten on Wednesday, 10th January 2018 @ 06:50:35 PM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

for the tears
i shed tonight
are my sole reminders
of what loneliness truly means
for i always knew

that my arrogant ways
would be my downfall

as days turn into nights
i wake up in tears
the same ones who
i fell asleep with
for no other love can undo this pain

for misery loves company
which it remains me
how this is my punishment
with each passing day
i say to myself
you had this day coming
for you reaped what you have sow

as the final tears fall to the ground
i look into the mirror and say

yeah i know

A great but very sad write. We are all human and make mistakes. Forgive yourself first and if you don/'/t you can/'/t move forward. Tomorrow is a new day and possibly a new way forward.

Please be kind to yourself!!!!

Your poem reminds me of how I have felt many times, certain that there was nothing better coming my way.
Oh, how wrong I was!!
I made bad choices and got bad results. I don/'/t think it was punishment.
Be as kind to yourself as you would a stranger. We are all learning by making mistakes!
You are far more resourceful than you think!

we all make mistakes
and reflect on how we messed up
let it go and be kind to yourself
happiness lurks in the shadows
waiting
for you.....
