I/'/m not real.
I don/'/t exist outside the lines on this page.
Only a shadow skulking about halls, fleeing from light; recognized only from the corners of passing eyes.
An illusion, nothing more.
I watch the world pass by, seeing smiles painted on faces of ones who seem to be happy.
I wonder what that feels like.

the shadow wonders if they know
they are happy when they truly are.
or if they are giving out fake smiles
just pretending, like they should be happy
but are not.
The shadow also wonders about
A list of things, do the bag of
potato chips that say reduced
fat only induce the shadow to
eat more empty calorie,
should the shadow invest
in crypto coinage, or
anything that seems
irrational with no real P/E
up front, and it is creepy
how budgets are never decided
upon, the shadow wished
he could talk to the wind
but the wind does not talk
the wind does not hear
The shadow sits beside the
poplar trees all day long
listening to the wind, but
never has the wind told him
nor the poplar trees which
way it will blow tomorrow
so how could the shadow
tell a family of four how to buget
never the less a government
The shadow walks behind
Except at the true north or south pole
of at noon on the the equator during
the Spring or the autumnal equinox
The shadow at the bottom of the ocean
behind a ship that sank long ago
where there is little light, the shadow
tried to write a poem, just now.
Peace!
