I stepped off the earth And landed high in the sky Why oh why did I I thought I/'/d fall deep into the sea But oh no not little ol/'/ me High above the earth I began to doubt my self worth I didn/'/t swim with the fishes Even though those were my wishes As I float with the clouds I/'/m not as smart as I thought I/'/d be But I/'/m smiling and laughing out loud Poor little ol/'/ me

This is delightful! A clever fable to remind us that although we don/'/t always get what we want; sometimes its for our own good!
I love the happy ending, and enjoyed the philosophy of trusting whatever comes our way.

Excellent poem
we all doubt our selves
but if we can smile and feel good
it is a wrap
drop the mic and walk away...

How correct you are my friend. Life very seldom takes the turns that we want it too. I happen to be standing at the edge of one of those cliffs right now wondering if jump will I fly or will I fall into the waves below and sink if i dont learn how to swim quickly. Great piece as always.
