Im proud of them, but I agree; They own themselves, and theyre not me.
Independent. Fully grown. With fond agendas all their own.
My arms let go to set them free. My heart wants them to stay with me!
Im no longer needed here; My job is done; dont interfere.
Life will keep them, wait and see. And theyll come home eventually.
With young ones of their own to start; A journey that will break their hearts.

Dear Soft
May I lighten the mood. They do leave nest but they never forget who raised them. They will always know where love and advise is to be found. You did your bit now take a step back and be the wise one.
God bless
Greetings

so true, so hard to step back
the other day in the airport
hearing this boy call his dad
dada turned my ears in
only remembering, almost
wishing to go back, like
back to when they were young
which was like back to when
I was there once too, but
different, I knew.
It/'/s like a circle kind of
It certainly don/'/t seem straight
You know SW, it/'/s not easy
never is, what anyone could
ever plan.
But we always try...
They are everything...
Peace!

As my children are still younger I know not that sorrow yet. That moment where you must pull back that protective wing. As a father of 3 though I can say I see the growth and independence grow every day. Though still such years off for me. I do fear the day I must remove that wing. Though I know that all that I give now will be taken with them. That in some way I will always be there and be needed. Life always find a way to keep those we love close even if they seem further than our hearts had hoped. |

Sadly children eventually have to let go as well
That isn/'/t joy either. Well wrote Jaye. Sad but just life/'/s reality. |
