I tell people Im fine
You dont control me
You dont abuse me
Youre always there for me
You understand me
Take me to a place Im happy.
Whys that so bad ?
Sure, Im with you everyday
I spend every spare minute with you
But you make me happy
You make me forget my problems.
People dont understand that without you I am nothing.
When I dont have you
I feel incomplete
Im lost
This world so dark without you.
I feel alone.
I hate being left with my thoughts without you.
I dont like it when I dont have you.
Youre all I want
I dont care who I loose
I dont care what people say
You, you are what makes me stay sane
You are whats keeping me alive in this crazy world.
I dont like people.
I dont like the way we are.
I will never give you up.
I dont care who I loose in the process.
My family, my girlfriend, my friends
You are all I need.
The feeling of getting a bag full
The happiness of smelling that dope scent
That joy you have when you take your first bong
Nothing beats the smoke filled lungs
Nothing beats the feeling of weed.
Weed is all I need.

A nice twist from leading us to believe you are speaking of a lover, only to find out the lover is weed.
This begs rereading once you know the ending, and the way you tell the tale makes second reads as spellbinding as the first.
Your sarcasm has a gentle touch. There is empathy and affection even as you scold.
A very complicated piece that looks simple but isn/'/t!! Well done!

| Addiction is a powerful illness that changes people in the worst ways. I just finished a tour in rehab (literally graduated a few days ago) and now i can see just how much my addiction changed me. This poem had some power in it and i thank you for sharing it |
