Shes out of tears to cry,
Somber stare in the night;
O, little sweet star
He darkens your glow with fright.
Scars will heal in time
But the ones inside dont go away,
Be quiet little girl
Dont tell how you got hurt today.
Another broken hour
To crowd her day with pain,
Quivering lips and swollen eyes,
Coloring book left out in the rain.
His shadow stirs inside her room
As she clings to her favorite toy,
Silent screams, rip the seems
Of innocents and joy.
Will she be bruised tomorrow
In places she cannot define?
With love and trust removed
How can this little star try to shine?
