Ill tell you a story youll never forget; For the price of a kiss youll never regret.
He tenderly gifted his mouth to her lips; Awaiting her tale with his hands on his hips.
You see she began, sir, last month I was raped. The child that I carry knows violence and hate.
Youve given my son what all mothers hearts wish; To know loves embrace before they exist.
One day Ill tell him what he would have missed; If not for the stranger who gave us his kiss.

Pretty deep Jaye. I had to read it twice as it wasn/'/t what I expected I guess or it went over my head.
Definitely out of box for you. Well done too!
As usual of course! |

Man I wish this were longer with more information. I was invested. Who, what, why, where, when. With that being said it/'/s really not necessary and it/'/s obvious why a victim wouldn/'/t want to recall their pain. But it/'/s a nice poem and it takes a man to take on a responsibly that isn/'/t his and too soothe a pain he didn/'/t inflict |

Wowsville. Soft, your poet radio is dialing in on a rarefied, emotionally inducing frequency.
You touch chords of such depth, and do so without the fanfare of grand words and metaphors. You do it with few words, and a mental painting that tightens the eyes and draws short the breath.
I/'/m so pleased as the poet in you grows. We are all ever growing and honing our skills, and in you it shows magnificently.

This one packs a punch with a pithy moving pace.
Details are left out which can draw the reader closer to what was written. You have the gift of story and poetry. |
