I dreamt of a cold rain
Pouring down a broken window,
Who will love the orphan tomorrow?
I dreamt of a desolate boy
Praying for the mom he never had,
Who will claim this quivering lad?
I dreamt of lonely sobs
Under a blanket of sorrow,
Who will watch him grow?
I dreamt of an empty toy box
And birthday songs never sung,
Who will know him while he/'/s young?
I dreamt of his innocent voice saying:
Pain is life--blood is red,
Who will kneel by his bed?
I dreamt of his eyes forever closed,
At peace--a sleep,
Who will...no one will weep.
I dreamt of a white angel
Who took the boy from where he laid,
To a place we all once played.
