Bongiorno, Faccia Bello How was your last stay in Milan Its been way too long since last we talked And yet I wonder what would happen if back into your life I walked
Though our interactions may have not appeared chemical I still yearn for the day that you would fulfill my deepest desire The one that entails you becoming mine And with my wishes yours also align
And yet propriety holds me hostage My lips are sealed by tradition A victim of the code of femininity Ive become Since I dont know if defying such goes against a Higher standard
I pick up my phone contemplating my next move Should I start another conversation Similar to the one you ended the other night For fear that a good nights sleep would soon be out of sight

So true....
The last stanza exactly states what you would be in for. Sometimes you just have to leave things alone. Great poem. |
