Generations

Topic: InspirationalPoems

Lets consider some inventions;
Left to you by fine intentions;
Of the Baby Boomers time:
Who left what for you - in rhyme.

Robert Jarvac for a start;
Built an artificial heart!
Then a staple gun you know;
So surgeons wouldnt have to sew!

Ajay Bhatt at Intel;
To make peripherals work well;
Built in connectivity;
We call his port a USB!

It had to balance on its own;
Using feet to steer alone!
Dean Kamen named it Ginger but;
His Segway isnt used that much.
His best invention, may be this:
Mechanical dialysis.

Englands Alfred Jefferies scored;
While a student at Oxford:
Found DNA a new intent:
To ID crooks by fingerprints!

Boys and girls let us bow;
To Gill Sanders, who avowed;
That greater pleasure be allowed.
Thus, we have Viagra now!

Tim Berners gave us this to love;
That changed the world by linking of;
Text, photos, sound and video:
The World Wide Web was his you know!

Carl Morgans work is clearly seen;
His handy wall-mounted machine;
Can shock the dead and bring them back;
His AED treats heart attacks.

So there you have it; just a few;
We hope weve left you lots to do!
Cause when your kids looks back on you;
Youll be remembered, as were we;
By what you did with history!

This is the way I like to remember the past and I
appreciate those that came before me and value their contributions. This was a great write and you have a knack for this type of poem which is often hard to pull off. Amazing and your talents will be remembered as well!

I love history. Most of those names I didn/'/t know.
Great job in the research dept.
You have contributed something that never was, a fascinating poem, educational and fun to follow.
Your own handprint on history.
I/'/m anticipating your next handprint.

my generation as so dumb
it would be kind to call it indifferent
this topsy turvy,
this upheaval, after of course, much
upheaval, and not even the generation
before could if they even tried,
figure things out.
Kind of made us all feel sort of screwed.
We forgot how to write, how to to make algorithms that
would help people spell, how to use...
I just think, I am old,
not that old. I was an athlete, I can still
do fifty push ups.
I am a writer.And I don/'/t transcend anything.
I read, have read Dostoyevsky, and fully
understand that it means nothing.
Totally oblique, in a stupid game.
I am not sure of anything, in fiction, that/'/s what you say,
trying to impart what is actually true, but love
you feel that love is, you do, glorify that conviction,
the girl, that girl is romancable, romancible,
possible, genuinely attractive...

Peace!

someone asked me if I could
sound totally gay, yep, I can.
but I/'/m not gay.
I am just jack, with nuts,
what you want a story,
ok, so here is a story,
there was more than something
to this antihistamine that helped old
people breath
money, cash at hand, old fat rich guys
having sex with young girls. And those young
girls did never have a voice.
And this stuff went on and on.
Even for a very long time.
That is what time does.
It makes you change the
world with your wisdom.

Or else, you just write.
