You never looked behind
To see what you had left
Never felt sorry
For the unborn tears never wept
They stayed inside
You forbid them to fall
Only the weak cry
But your way isn't the only one
Fearing to be hurt again
Pushed away everyone
As if caring were a sin
You're cold inside
Some say dead
But they don't know you like I do
Watched you lie awake in bed
The only sound a heartbeat
Not my own, not your's
Your eyes, my eyes meet
You blink, I'm gone
You pretend it doesn't bother you
But you can't deny it does
I watch from the shadow of our love
All that is left now

| I used to hate things left unsaid. Forever worse than saying the 'wrong' thing which can only partially be false. This reminded me of mistakes in the past... |
