Bravo for the internet
And all that it displaces
We give a lot more than we get
We dont know names or faces
My computer doesnt know
If you are blue or green
Whether you have stripes or spots;
Or if youre wide or lean!
It cant see scars or missing limbs
Or if youre deaf or blind.
My opinions arent dimmed;
By what my senses find.
Incapable of accents;
Of age, or size, or gender.
Hosting anyones intent;
Truthful or pretender.
All we see is whats inside;
Wisdom, humor, fear;
By words alone must we decide;
Absent our veneer.
Perhaps computers see us better
Than we with all our senses;
Judgementally unfettered;
By all our fond pretenses!
