back into the rain

Contributed by ming on Wednesday, 2nd May 2018 @ 04:48:22 PM in AEST
Topic: abstract

where the illusion
of solid things
blur

and the high sing
of madness tingles
the fingers

while the blank eyes
and pasted smile number
gives its all

the real is soaked away
into wet shadows
without answers.

The last stanza intrigues me.
Rain is good at soaking away your troubles too.

Synthetic is all around us.
Makes us appreciate the real even more.

How do we know reality from imitation when the latter is so convincing? This raises the question of how we draw the line, and I am left to consider more carefully the criteria I use to tell the difference.
The last stanza is an awesome summary of your thoughts on the topic.

So this, the real you mention,
becomes open dialogue, realness
They say this world is a mirage, windswept
over the horizon, where upon the flat plains
lie the suns light in broad day

when the moonlit in the morning sits
questions madness sees it with its own
eyes seeking close proximity

from afar you turn the light off
And try to obstruct the sun

this only one blowing kisses
is so hard to see in the day

there is nobody to blame
but the truth

when it rains it gets
dark
when it snows hard there is more contrast
you can see forever

farther
Peace!
