Unending Sorrows

Contributed by DeadInside on Tuesday, 3rd June 2003 @ 11:35:00 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Looking for questions unanswered in me, I find nothing but the emptiness that cant be filled. A piece of me is gone, its still held in your tightly clenching fist. Trying so hard to fill that space, but only finding that everything is nothing and nothing is everything. Quick fixes and forbidden loves are only temporary solutions to this unending pain. Just as the sun starts to shine it only rains again. Heavy hearts and broken dreams will never be mended and time only makes the crimson river run deeper. Holding on to this string, the thread is wearing thin. Waiting for this all to end because the sun will never dry up this constant flowing river of broken dreams and never ending sorrows.

I get a strong sense of grasping for the past in this poem. Whether it is healthy or not it is touchingly human
