Make me a woman Just like the one I got; Make her tall and lean, A workin/'/ man/'/s dream, I know a man who/'/s been distraught.
Make me a woman Just like my morning glory; Quick to smile, With a faded jean style, I know a man without a love story.
Make me a woman Just like the angel in my arms; Make her unselfish and sweet, With long lashes and ticklish feet, I know a man who needs those charms.
Why do I want a woman Just like the one I love? Well, she/'/s not for me, I/'/m not that greedy, I know a man who/'/s been deprived of The kind of woman that I know, Make me a duplicate Of which I will bestow.

The first line had me thinking you were asking to be made into a woman! Well, you got my attention!!
Truly, this reveals the writer to be a generous and caring person. To wish for someone else happiness is the best of mankinds traits. Keep sharing. Your lovely cadence can infect us with the desire to be our brothers keeper. The world, one block at a time, will be better for it.

I would sadly smile
wishing there could be no
duplicate
I see perfect matches
odd shapes, people
loving people, and as
odd as the come, they
can be only one,
there could never be another,
I would sadly smile
because I know
I grew up seeing somene
lose someone
as a child
seeing them know
like an old wooded up
shack she stuck
herself in, friends and family,
people caring for her
trying to do best by her
went in to drag her out
life and love can be more than
hard, and sadly, there are no
repeats
except for bits and pieces
little glimmerings
small things filled with joy
Peace! |
