Fate

Contributed by kdizzy279 on Sunday, 13th May 2018 @ 04:34:05 PM in AEST
Topic: poets

no escaping the fate.
im a slave to these choices.
no longer floating, swaying.
pain has gotten in my way.
drugs get me through the day.
there has got to be another way.

cannot sit still.
someone tie me to this chair.
nervous ticks, lets dance.
given me more than enough chance.
looking down at the cracks.
i fall in again and can/'/t get up.

more, more, more, please.
its becoming the void, im your worst enemy.
controlling the lies, hurting everything that moves.
howling at the moon, i have become an animal.
basic instincts, eat, lie, drink, kill, sleep.
my thoughts keep racing, is it my fault?
has jesus christ turned his back on me?

More on the dark side. Sounds like a lost soul riddled with anxiety. Very sell written!

I think we all become animals at times! Sad but true.

Dude or Dudette.
I have been EXACTLY EXACTLY where you are. You have the ability to break free. I know this because you have the energy and intelligence to know that writing your pain out is cathartic. If you look at my poetry, going back to the beginning when I joined this site, you will see a lot of your pain .
I am drug and drink free for the last 2.5 years and I KNOW I can help you. Let me. PM me with interest. PS. I doesn/'/t involve Jesus or getting saved or AA 24/7.
I am more lucid, ambitious, less fearful of the future, and all around a better person in every way than I when I was using. I bet you have a talent that will change your life if you get to know yourself well enough to ID it.

Invierno.

Staring out into the void wondering if there is anyway back to safe ground. Gripping tightly as hope slowly seems to slip from between the cracks in fingers. Then fear turns us inside out. Letting this vision in our head turn to what could have been. Unaware that if we bite down and drag through the miles of burnt out hell. There is always another side its just a matter of how willing you are to fight the fear, to stand and face the demons down. Till you conquer your own ghost. To merge with this new light. Because life was never about perfection and the future never about the past. But the ability to see and make from yourself the art you were intended to be.
