Grace In Me Now

Clouds by the ton hung breathless above, strings from heaven holding them fast, covering memories false and true, allowing peace to float upon me at last.
Through a childs eyes when I didnt consider a gallon of water weighs eight pounds; I just liked the glitter of flashing lightening, the soon thereafter thundering sounds.
Now to go back to that wonder less wonder, retrace the steps of a heart run adrift, feel the caress of heavens blessings, the touch of rain, the wet of Gods kiss.
So much behind me, memories asunder, footsteps taken in puddles afoul, but by letting go that I am alone the door has opened for grace in me now.

Lovely. THE WET OF GODS KISS is a beautiful line!
This is a wish to be able to return at will to life through the eyes of the child. Actors make a living because they can do this.
for the rest of us, poetry such as yours helps us to connect through the memories and images your writing shows.
Birds of a feather today are we.
