Virtues are a hinderance that slow us down like glue. What pray tell me has a virtue ever done for you?
Lets take trust for instance; have we not been cheated? Left with broken hearts and our bank accounts depleted? Imagine if we gave up faith; big business I hear tell; What could we do if we all knew we couldnt go to Hell?
Charity will get your pay, but cant buy self respect; The more we give, the more it takes; the more that they expect. Over-rated virtues lead us all astray! We share and care, to who knows where and give our gifts away!
Were we to dare to keep our share, and do whats best for us; Would we succeed on selfish greed achieving what we lust? Or else be mediocre, common men until we die; I know what we will answer; But be damned if I know why.

Much food for thought Jaye.
Very thought provoking indeed.
My friend used to say that if the Church and local community did its share we would never need federal assistance. Great write! |

I remember, as a boy, men wore hats,
and they had movies where the good guys
wore white hat and it was those guys who
would do all they could to assist a damsel in distress,
and they just did, they never said anything about it
neither, never needed to ever be called a hero.
I don/'/t know what you call it, a virtue,
a stoic adventure, where you see the bigger picture
and no matter what follow suit in some world-like
view, who cares what they think, this is right, and it
is what I am going to do.
Everything is charity. Living, breathing, existing.
Is it dissidence in the classical sense, like say, a
Martin Luther standing alone against the church?
Or is it experience that turns into wisdom,
yet, allows for time a bit, in order to figure
things a bit more, prior to any fully commitment to action.
Am I this or that. Is that a question?
And what would you do if you only knew?
I say work hard, because for me motivation
has nothing to do with money, or popularity.
For me it has to do a lot with taking a step back
and seeing what the world is really like for
too many folks, and then asking why.
I cannot be egalitarian, I can only do hard work
for its own merit. And yet, still I have listen and I have
to see. And I never needed to where a hat, but I love
to see all the fancy hats that women wear, or the
hats of any culture and wonder how they came to
be.
ooh there are so many good stories in those such
as those.
Peace!

I am laughing at the way I think without worrying
about my sentence structure. The formation, and
the adherence, two separate channels, diagrams,
where there is no disparity, no polaric opposing
force, like the yin and yang, the light and the dark,
and curvatures presenting only circles within circles.
The Taiwanese Buddhist Temple down the street
serving up a Sunday feast for all persuasion.
Only on Sunday, because they only need so
much money to keep the place open and to all.
Perhaps some where you might see some young
man on the street broken and not know what to
do to save him.
Peace!
