Disney didn/'/t expect it but Solo is a flop. When it came to ticket sales, the second week saw a 61 percent drop. In Solo, Lando Calrissian is a pansexual, even robots turn him on. I/'/m sorry to have to say it but the magic of Star Wars may be gone. Certain people are angry because of The Last Jedi. Leia was sucked into space and she didn/'/t die. Disney obviously knows nothing about outer space. Criticism is something Disney doesn/'/t want to face. Disney thought Solo would be a massive hit but it/'/s not. Fans are angry and that is what caused the Solo boycott. If you like The Last Jedi and or Solo, that/'/s okay. But Disney is very upset, they/'/ve had better days.

Finally, a poem I can relate to, understand, and which follows some sort of meter and rhyme scheme!
I agree - the current sequel-run and spin offs are loosening all the moorings of the Star Wars universe to be more inclusive of people/'/s wallets. Failure to provide necessary backstories, unexplained /'/miracles/'/, incoherent plot twists inserted just for the eye candy or filler to a boring story of chasees - where are the decent scripts to match the money and special effects, or is there an inverse relationship between those elements?
At least Lucas got ahead of everyone with the Jedi to Sith move - the ultimate transitioning... |

I did not see it. I saw the first star wars sitting in the front row with my mates while we smoked a joint and tripped
over the intro seemingly rolling its way out into
space.
Hans solo, I would think was very unscientific, just did not ever fit into any mold, tell me now, just what is any princess, or any high falutin king, so pretentious ---
And that is what we liked about the first guy who played
Hans. He did not fit. And for that matter none of it did.
As though there were these secret systems of which
we are unaware. There are not. There/'/s only what you would do, because you didn/'/t care, so you read
the instructions on the visor that explained how to
drive a spaceship past the speed of light, because
you were bold, and comedic --- naturally so.
Peace!

I should punctuate what I just said with a real live story,
here this guy who never drove a truck in his life back in the day gets hired, and not knowing how to shift, he reads how to shift the manual gears on the visor of the first truck
he gets into. Yes.
Yes, in that he makes all the diesel mechanics at the yard,
insane due to his wrecking of all the trucks, Yes,
and yet, he has this way about himself, he fills any room
he walks into with joy.
The character is a reflection of say what its like to be a truck driver, always out of place, and who would not be
in the void of space, as if, there was this political
science thing going on, hinting at human virtue,
or virtue of intelligent creatures such as
Yoda or perhaps a hairy "Chewbacca "
--- ever see a guy like that, some tall homeless
fellow who needs a real friend?
Nobody likes a princess, or any good advice
these days its not too hard to see.
Peace! |

Hans did not know himself when he was cast
before the cart, only being left beside the
road did he understand the real Solo, only
then he arose to the pull of the universe,
tugged like a tired stubborn tugboat from
shallow grave the oceans pull, like the air
birds breath, and exhale in and out, true buoyancy,
learned, learning to fly high overhead comes natural,
and the air holds depth, and I remember washing windows on high buildings, watching the birds
in their nest, that they would make, thinking about
a different sort of calmness over any land mass.
Looking up. Neutrinos billions at a time shooting right square through you maybe lost the stars faraway in the heavenly sky, but they
did not, could not ever lose you.
Peace!

Disneys heyday was when the cells were hand drawn and the cartoon movies were works of art.
But progress doesn/'/t have to dilute quality; I agree, they have had better days!
