WHO IS THE WRITER?

Contributed by softerware on Tuesday, 12th June 2018 @ 12:23:17 AM in AEST
Topic: poets

Poets come to pen a tale;
To speak their minds or fail.
Exposed outloud; to faceless crowds;
The writers holy grail!

Our coin is courage paid;
For none can write afraid;
Erased, repenned, again, and then;
Upon your altar laid.

Perhaps it makes more clear;
A memory held dear:
Words of thanks; or cries of angst;
In visions, hopes and fears.

The poem is but a shell;
For you must write the tell;
The colors used, the words infused;
Within the reader dwells.

The final meaning, thus;
Tells more of you than us;
For poems invite that you recite
Your heart in secret trust.

Wonderfully insightful and inspiring.
A joy to read and a joy to be understood.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
