Antiques grow more costly; the older that they get. Unlike the vintage people I have known and met!
The owners hire with pleasure, appraisers that will measure; Their young are taught what grandma bought; will come to be a treasure.
According to AARP, and Antique Roadshow charts; I must be worth a fortune; and I still have all my parts!
I keep good time, write decent rhyme; we know from whence I came. (My maker was a carpenter, whos provenance knew fame!)
Count me with the treasures, you cannot save from time; For you alone, now proudly own, an antique valentine.

Last line.....this is to your husband, I imagine?
Snappy concept.
Lest you assume I am always finding perfection in your writes, (which my comments on your efforts would lead one to believe), I will add that your enthusiastic application of ; and , does at times create a stumbling block to fluidity. I/'/ve noticed this in other poems you/'/ve shared. This is merely my opinion, of which there is a saying that is quite accurate.
You know I adore and LOVE your poetry.

so true,
my mom who was born in 1923
as a young gal knew a lot of people
from back in the nineteenth century
when they had no telephone and no
radio.
"I would float on my back in the Mississippi river,
and feel free." she would always tell me,
where her grandfather raiser her as a girl
on a farm,/'/ and he made true root beer in his cellar
like you never tasted before."
The old covered bridges in Iowa,
She lived in Kokuc, Iowa situated between
the Des Moines and Mississippi rivers.
Howard Hughes is from there, he was born
in 1905 and died in 1976 as one of the richest men
who ever lived.
My mom lived until 2003 having raised eight kids mostly on her own, she was a nurse.
Peace!
